In Indonesia's Sukabumi Regency, the potential production of dry milled grain (GKG) for March and April is projected to reach 252.3 tons, which is equivalent to approximately 161,498 tons of rice. This estimate is based on the potential harvest from agricultural land or rice fields during these months. The potential harvest area in March is 17,100 hectares, and in April, it expands to 26,977 hectares, totaling 44,077 hectares ready for harvest. On average, each hectare of rice land is expected to produce 6-7 tons of GKG. Sukabumi Regency, known as one of the national rice granaries, has experienced recent rice price increases due to adverse weather conditions leading to harvest failures and an altered harvest period. The annual rice consumption requirement for Sukabumi Regency is 308,733 tons, based on an assumption of 96 kg per capita per year, indicating that the region typically has a surplus of rice annually. With the expected GKG production, there is an anticipation of a reduction in rice prices, which have already begun to decrease gradually. Distribution of rice to traditional markets is also expected to proceed smoothly.
