Irish dairy group Ornua is selling its powder blending and manufacturing business in the UK, housed within Ornua Nutrition Ingredients (ONI), to Roger Wertheim-Aymes, founder of Aymes, a medical supplement operation. The Leek facility, located in the English Midlands, produces dairy ingredients, bakery products, breakfast cereal, sports nutrition, and health products. The business will be sold as a going concern, and financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The facility, set to operate under the trading name Allicio, will continue supplying to a range of customers, including Aymes, and Ornua emphasized that it would remain a significant strategic customer. The move allows Ornua to focus on enhancing its leadership in supplying cheese ingredients. The deal is expected to be completed later in January, with all 85 employees transferring to Allicio, subject to consultation.
